Shikha is a media artist, branding strategist, finance, education, business and I/O consultant and psychologist with a background in medicine, psychiatry, psychotherapy, media arts, finance (including wealth management, cryptocurrency and investment banking), design, marketing (specializing in social media, branding and advertising), education and sociology. Her ancestral background stems in art where her paternal grandfather played pivotal role in influencing her creative pursuit. He was one of the first painters of Hindustan (India) to represent the country in France through his exhibitions in the late sixties. His abstract painting provided inspiration for Shikha’s artistic journey.

She began her career in psychological research in 2005 after seeing a need to create awareness in mental health and trying to understand the human psyche while studying at the American School of Kinshasa (TASOK). Her journey in design and coding was stemmed in the year of 2000 when she started to learn typography, illustration, CSS, HTML, Javascript, computer engineering and photography on her own. In 2001, Shikha’s first poem, Soldier was published online and in 2005, her digital artwork was featured at Yale University in an exhibition through the Explo summer program. Her interest in art, specializing in Pop, Surreal and Abstract Art and Photojournalism, led her to keenly pursue her undergraduate degree in Marketing and Media Arts and Society at Bentley University. In 2011, Shikha worked for Ogilvy & Mather along with Vodacom as an advertising coordinator and presented marketing research on the growth and development of advertising in countries such as D.R.Congo and India.

In 2013, Shikha pursued her masters in Psychology, specializing in Marriage and Family Therapy and Industrial and Organizational Psychology at Golden Gate University. She has also worked with Fortune 500 entrepreneurs, CEOs and start-up venture capitalists as a coach and business, finance, marketing and I/O consultant in San Francisco, California. In 2017 to 2024, Shikha was listed as one of the top ten most influential people and female on the Internet by Forbes Magazine. She has also been involved in professional theater performances and attended ACT school classes in San Francisco. In 2014 to 2018, Shikha interned as a public relations associate for Hollywood and continues to work in PR for the film, art, media and music industries.

Shikha also has twelve years of clinical experience and research in Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, Easting Disorders (Binge-Eating and Anorexia) and mood disorders. She has worked very closely with a variety of patients during her time of traineeship to now.

Presently, her interests also extends to psychiatry and neuroscience. Furthermore, Shikha volunteers as a mental health clinician for Doctors Without Borders (Médecins sans Frontières)and the United Nations. Shikha also volunteers with several governments as a forensic psychologist specializing in criminology cases and has assisted in finding long-term solutions with the United Nations and International Criminal Court. As a researcher, she continues to assist as a volunteer on Phase 2 of the research, development and innovation of medication for major depression, schizophrenia and other disorders in the clinical trials of psychiatric medication with several governments in the biotechnology industry. Shikha has also been volunteering in the UN as a doctor and social worker since 2017.

In the past, Shikha has worked in US election campaigns, PRIDE festival and several music events such as Coachella, Lolapalooza, Outside Lands, Soulection concerts, art exhibitions, MoMA events, tech events and conferences. She has volunteered as a DJ and MC at many events and continues to produce independent art films with her team. In her spare time, Shikha plays the violin & sitar, does fashion design and styling, hangs out with cybersecurity, analyzes cyrptocurrency, programs software, researches colonial and art history, writes poetry, illustrates and is a professional jazz and opera singer, kundalini yoga and meditation teacher, contemporary dancer and a makeup artist.
